Dasavatara - 10 avatars.
Incarnation of Vishnu
Vishnu is one of the principal deities in Hinduism, and according to Hindu mythology, he has appeared on earth in various incarnations or avatars to restore order and balance in the universe. The ten most widely recognized incarnations of Vishnu are:
Matsya (fish)
Kurma (turtle)
Varaha (boar)
Narasimha (half-man, half-lion)
Vamana (dwarf)
Parashurama (warrior-saint)
Rama (prince of Ayodhya)
Krishna (cowherd)
Buddha (founder of Buddhism)
Kalki (horse-riding warrior)
These incarnations are collectively known as the Dasavatara (ten avatars) of Vishnu. Each avatar is believed to have a specific purpose and represents a particular aspect of the divine. The stories of these avatars are an essential part of Hindu mythology and have been the subject of countless legends, art, and literature for centuries.
